KENZO's 2017 Spring/Summer Collection Is a Nod to the Glamorous 1970s
Featuring the famed Polaroids of artist Antonio Lopez.
Following their recent runway presentation for Opening Ceremony, Carol Lim and Humberto Leon now unveil KENZO‘s 2017 spring/summer collection at Paris Fashion Week. Inspired by the vibrant party scene of the 1970s, the creative duo has rolled out a range of retro silhouettes such as metallic dresses, vinyl trousers and trapeze-style crop tops. In addition, the designers have tapped the archives of artist Antonio Lopez, who is famously known for taking Polaroids that capture the glamorous fashion world of the 70’s. Lopez’s images are printed on various pieces, including T-shirts and pencil skirts. Closing the show is a series of sequin mini dresses in blue, pink and silver.
