A Closer Look at Vetements x Reebok's New – and Surprisingly Demure – Pump Sneaker
Let Demna Gvasalia help you tell “LEFT” and “RIGHT” apart.
A Reebok x Vetements collaboration was all but written in stone when Demna Gvasalia debuted a heavily inked Instapump Fury at Vetements’ Spring/Summer 2017 collection. Now three months and a much hyped-Seoul Vetements pop-up later, all rumors point true – though not what was exactly expected.
At said “Official Fake” garage sale-cum-capsule collection a new Pump model debuted alongside a lighter sock boot. It’s clean, taking a demure route with an all-white upper and midsole. But classic Gvasalia’s satire is not lost – the sneakers are labeled “LEFT” and “RIGHT” in case the undiscerning customer needed a reminder.
The slip-on sneaker retailed at 404,000 Korean Won (approximately $350 USD) inside the Seoul pop-up. Guram Gvasalia revealed to us the previously mentioned Instapump Fury will come soon.
