Yves Saint Laurent Beauty’s new “Before The Light” show asks musicians what beauty means to them – a look into the artist’s pre-show makeup routine. Go backstage with Zoë Kravitz and her band Lolawolf’s shenanigans.
“To me, makeup is this kind of war paint sometimes, especially before a show,” said Kravitz. “It changes the kind of performance that I’m going to give, the aesthetic that I’m kind of in touch with that night.”
Her choice? YSL’s eyeliner and red lipstick. French videographer Fabien Constant lensed the clip and other musicians to star in upcoming parts include Korean singer Ga-In, French band Lilly Wood’s Nili Hadida.
