Electro-pop duo Cash+David has recently teamed up with LA-based directors Sleepy Puppies to create a series of short films exploring the magical world of female skateboarding. Wrapping up the four-part visual journey is the newly-released music video for “STC (Interval Training),” which sees skater Adrienne Sloboh showing off her impressive skateboarding tricks, as well as discussing what the sport means to her as a girl.
Speaking of their video project, the creative talents from Sleepy Puppies explain:
Our goal with this project was to show the world of female skateboarding the way that it really is instead of using it as inspiration for a more stylized, polished narrative … These are incredible athletes fighting to legitimize their talent in the eyes of the world, but beyond that these are amazing people — and that’s what we were trying to highlight. These are stories about human feeling, resilience and friendship but most of all, they are about these bad ass girls writing their own story in the skateboarding industry.
