For its 2016 fall/winter women’s collection, maharishi has released a new Rozu kimono as well as a pair of Hanafuda silk trackpants. Paying homage to the Japanese Sukujan souvenir jacket, the kimono sees viscose-silk construction and is padded with jah-quilting. Beautiful embroidery of roses covers both sides of the kimono, while a fierce tiger is seen on the back alongside the brand’s name in English and katakana symbols. Also featured in the new collection is the Hanafuda silk trackpants, which feature handworked embroidery inspired by the Hanafuda playing cards. In particular, the placement of the rose motif and branding is a nod to contemporary Japanese biker gangs. Check out both pieces by browsing the gallery above.
Retailing from £295-895 GBP (approximately $368-1,118 USD), you can now shop the Rozu kimono and Hanafuda silk trackpants over at maharishi’s web store.
