While we’re still reeling after Beyoncé served LEMONADE this summer, the singer is now being sued for yet another visual from a few years back. Clothing designer Dwayne Walker has filed a lawsuit against Queen Bey for her 2013 “Drunk in Love” music video, in which he says the Roc-A-Fella logo he designed is “prominently displaying” without his permission.
Walker has attempted to receive compensation over the logo over the past few years, but his 2012 lawsuit against Jay Z and Dame Dash was thrown out because he failed to present to the court an old contract he allegedly signed with Dash for royalties from Roc-A-Fella.
This time around, Beyoncé is named as the sole defendant — although Jay Z is wearing the logo in question on the chain around his neck, she holds it in front of the camera for a couple brief moments at the 5:20 and 5:18 marks in the above video. Since the previously dismissed claim ruled Walker to not be entitled to royalties, chances are he won’t win this suit either.
