Drum Roll, Please: Demna Gvasalia Has Been Named "Person of the Year" By 'Business of Fashion'

Can’t say we’re that surprised, to be honest.

As one of the most revered publications in the industry, Business of Fashion has christened Georgian designer Demna Gvasalia with the title of “Person of the Year.” In addition to appearing on the cover of BoF‘s January 2016 issue, Gvasalia continued to make waves this year with his cult-status label, Vetements. After being named the new creative director of Balenciaga, the designer persevered in building his legacy through a handful of immensely successful collections.

If 2016 was any indication of Gvasalia’s cosmic trajectory, we can’t wait to see what 2017 will bring for the 35-year-old designer. For more Balenciaga, don’t forget to check out the luxury brand’s pop-up shop in Osaka, which will run until December 31.
