Opening Ceremony Dunks a High-Fashion Editorial at Harlem's Iconic Rucker Park

Style meets sports history.

In a new editorial, Opening Ceremony bridges sport and style with authenticity, detailing the rich history behind Rucker Park. It first opened in Harlem in the ’70s before being shut down by the NBA but now serves to be one of the most iconic streetball courts in New York City. There, photographer Doug Segars captures his vision of a woman taking center stage at a spot where mostly men come to play ball — model Aliyah Monet is the most valuable in seasonal wares from the boutique.
