Mulberry Finally Sheds Light on New Creative Director Johnny Coca's Debut Collection

Find out what to expect from the designer set to premiere his first collection at London Fashion Week.

Following the announcement last summer that Johnny Coca would be stepping in as creative director for British leather goods manufacturer, Mulberry, the label has been more or less secretive about details regarding the new designer’s plans moving forward with the company. In a move that can only be seen as a long time coming, Mulberry has finally lifted the veil on Coca’s new role. Set to debut his premiere collection at London Fashion Week, a new short film released by the brand provides insight into the designer’s creative process. “I wanted to reinforce the British character and sensibility of Mulberry,” said Coca. “It’s quite humbling – to be trusted with this brand that people love and feel is very much part of them and their lives. In my role as creative director, I want to push the boundaries, but also respect the values and DNA at the core of Mulberry.” Coca is set to show his first collection for Mulberry on Sunday, February 21 at London Fashion Week. You can watch the full introduction video above.
