Maison Kitsuné Introduces a Retro-Inspired "Daikanyama" Capsule Collection
In celebration of its new Tokyo boutique, which pays tribute to the iconic 1960s Hotel Okura.
French record and fashion label Maison Kitsuné recently opened its new Tokyo boutique in the heart of the city’s trendy Daikanyama district. Paying tribute to the iconic Hotel Okura of the 1960s, the new retail space integrates traditional Japanese aesthetics into its modernist design and construction. In celebration of the new store, the brand has debuted a capsule collection aptly dubbed “Daikanyama.” Drawing design cues from retro elements, such as Hotel Okura’s pendant lamps and geometric latticework, the range highlights sleek, eye-catching graphics. The line is comprised of a jacket, sweatshirt and T-shirt, as well as a tote bag constructed out of premium woven cotton. The capsule collection is exclusively available now at Maison Kitsuné Daikanyama.
