Prada Gets Surreal for Its Latest Fragrance Collection
So dreamy.
Luxury fashion house Prada has just unveiled a collection of 10 fragrances as part of a range of conceptual scents dubbed Prada Olfactories. Competing against other couture perfumes from the likes of Chanel, Dior and Tom Ford, the Italian atelier’s latest offering truly stands out. From the creative mind of Daniela Andrier, who also helmed such scents as ‘Infusion d’Iris’ and ‘Prada Candy,’ the new enigmatic range takes a fearless approach within the realm of fashion-oriented fragrances.
Eschewing typical methods and compositions, each scent in Olfactories experiments with the structure of top notes, hearts and bases to create an experience that borders on reverie. Rendering layers of elusive elements, each addition is paired with a surrealist collage that further underscores the allure of the unisex fragrances. Provoking more of a full-sensory experience rather than a simple olfactory one, each bottle is encased in a glass flaçon and embellished with the house’s hallmark blue leather plaque. To round off the opulent set, each piece is matched with a Prada archive signature print that also appears on a silk pouch that accompanies each vessel.
Prada Olfactories is now available from select Prada boutiques and retails for $300 USD for each 100 ml bottle. To learn more about the unique collection, you can visit Prada’s website.
