Rihanna-Designed Shoes Boosts PUMA's Profits

The RiRi effect.

Singer Rihanna, who became PUMA Women’s creative director just a year ago, brought the German sportswear brand to the forefront with her PUMA by Rihanna Collection (you’ll remember the PUMA Creepers). Now, PUMA SE is reporting fourth-quarter sales of $980 million USD, compared to analysts’ average estimate of $940 million USD, and overall 2015 sales of $3.8 billion USD. Earnings before interest and tax are up 2.6 percent and revenue rose 15 percent. RiRi is clearly a game-changer in the creative world.
