Every May, The Metropolitan Museum of Art hosts the epic Met Gala to celebrate the grand opening of its Costume Institute Spring Exhibit. In this new documentary, filmmaker Andrew Rossi followed Vogue Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour and Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute curator Andrew Bolton as they plan 2015’s exhibition and gala “China: Through the Looking Glass.” Featuring an epic performance by Rihanna (who apparently required an eye-opening salary for the event), take a front-row seat to the most unforgettable soirée of 2015.

The First Monday in May will open on April 13 at the Tribeca Film Festival.
