A First Look at the Liberty London x Uniqlo Collection
Showcased in a flowery lookbook shot by legendary photographer Nick Knight.
Uniqlo has just announced that it will be working with Liberty London, which is one of the most iconic department stores in London, on a collaborative collection. The range will be comprised of 30 pieces inspired by the existing floral patterns found in Liberty’s selection of womenswear, menswear and kid’s clothing. The program will include pieces that complement Uniqlo’s existing collections of wardrobe essentials such as dresses, tanks, T-shirts, trousers and puffer jackets, all showcased in a flowery lookbook shot by Nick Knight.
Providing insight into the creative concept behind the two brands’ latest project, Yukihiro Katsuta, head of research and design at Uniqlo, recently told Vogue UK, “We have selected highly popular, vibrant floral patterns from among the Liberty prints, adored throughout the world by people across generations and cultures, and brought them together with Uniqlo’s cutting-edge sensibilities to be reborn as LifeWear.” The collection is set to drop at Uniqlo stores on March 18.
