Instagram Introduces 60-Second Videos in Latest Update

Plus, an added bonus for Apple users.

Instagram is back at it again this month with another significant update, this time regarding its video feature. In the past, users could only create videos no longer than 15 seconds, but this new update to the media-sharing app increases that limit to 60 seconds. Rolling out to everyone in the coming months starting today, the change comes as Instagram reports a 40 percent increase in the time people spend watching videos on their feeds and as a move to help support creativity.

As an added bonus, Instagram has also brought back the ability to stitch together multiple camera roll clips to make one new video. This is currently only available in Instagram’s iOS 7.19 update for Apple users in the App Store.
