Three Stripes has announced a design academy for aspiring footwear designers.
adidas has undoubtedly become one of the pioneering figures in footwear advancement, from creating innovative athletic sneakers to introducing cult status streetwear silhouettes. Now, the sportswear behemoth has offered up a chance for aspiring footwear and sports apparel designers to join its ranks. Dubbed the adidas Design Academy and attended only by accepted applicants, the new program consists of a 24-month curriculum that will cover a dynamic range of areas that includes footwear, apparel and graphic design. With “campuses” located in both Germany and the USA, the Design Academy will provide an unprecedented opportunity to design, create and invent within the realm of sport-inspired footwear and apparel. But wait, here’s the best part: there is a possibility of earning a job at adidas at the end of the program.
