Balmain 2016 Fall/Winter Collection Carries Strong Kim Kardashian Influences
Garments as opulent as Olivier Rousteing’s famous muse.
It’s no secret that Kim Kardashian is one of Olivier Rousteing’s favorite muses and the recent Balmain 2016 fall/winter runway show certainly showed that. Including a very blond Kendall Jenner starting off the show (perhaps a reference to Kim going platinum for the Yeezy Season 3 presentation), the range was filled with a plethora of references to the matriarch of the House of Ye. Monochromatic garments featuring a head-to-toe neutral palette was a reoccurring look throughout, complemented by padded bubble miniskirts that appear to pay homage to Kim’s legendary curves. Incorporating plenty of corset-induced silhouettes and a range of luxurious textures that range from lace to silk to tassels, Balmain stuns us once again with an opulent collection befitting to an equally sumptuous muse.
