Nike Blooms with a New Air Footscape Motion Retro "Sakura"
Another cherry blossom rework on one of Japan’s most popular sneakers.
With the spring breeze brewing, it also means that Japan’s cherry blossoms are in full bloom right now. Hence, it is not surprising that various brands are making use of this seasonal phenomenon to push out some special editions. Nike Sportswear is well ahead in this game, with an upcoming release of a new Nike Air Footscape Motion “Sakura” following its introduction of various “Cherry Blossom” reworks in silhouettes such as the Classic Cortez, Air Max 1 and SB Stefan Janoski Max PRM. With Footscape’s signature asymmetrical lacing system and chukka-like outsole, this Japanese-favorite receives a lustrous finish thanks to the layers of sakura graphics over a dark grey base. The sneaker also comes with reflective 3M detailing on the heel and alternate cork insoles. This seasonal edition Air Footscape Motion Retro will be released at Nike retailers on April 2. Stay tuned for more updates.
