Are These Nike Air Force 1 Creepers Better Than Rihanna's PUMA Creepers?
A Nike Blazer Low upper reimagined with an Air Force 1 midsole.
Since Rihanna became PUMA Women’s creative director just a year ago, the German sportswear label has been experiencing a renaissance of sorts. The first high-profile project that she launched was, of course, the buzz-worthy Creeper collaboration. Available in three colorways, the sneaker borrowed the classic platform shoe silhouette first made popular during the heyday of 1970s punk, incorporating a tall gum midsole to the profile.
Although RiRi’s take on the creeper is by far the most sought-after option on the market thus far when it comes to sportswear-inspired creepers, French artist The Golden Shape has now combined the Nike Blazer Low upper with a reimagined Air Force 1 gum midsole to create a dreamy hybrid sneaker. Rendering the profiles in white, pink and navy colorways (the last of which appears with a blue midsole), the resulting shoes are a completely unique take on the creeper. Although it is unlikely that these Nike creepers will actually be released, we can only dream. Check out the images above and let us know what you think.
