NikeLab Gyakusou's 2016 Spring Silhouettes Will Add a Boost to Your Run
NikeLab teams up with Jun Takahashi once again for a tech-forward range of athletic wear.
Even after 12 collections, NikeLab and Jun Takahashi, founder of Undercover, have still found ways to revolutionize running gear to improve performance and maximize comfort for runners. Fusing Takahashi’s ever-changing running insights and design aesthetics with Nike innovation, the Spring 2016 collection sees apparel that is optimised to counter the effects of weather and temperature, be it the environment or the runners themselves.
This includes informed placement of water resistant materials based on rain-mapping data of the body, laser perforations strategically placed to improve breathability (also support from skin-temperature mapping data) and pockets that allows for quick and efficient storage. On top of that, the new LunarEpic Flyknit that is due to launch with the collection aims to improve the comfort of the wearer by reducing strain caused by inadequate footwear. It features a mid-height collar for a secured fit, LunarIon midsole with articulated laser cuts that ensures smooth transition from heel to toe, and laser-cut pods on the outsole to enhance cushioning and offer multi-surface traction.
The Spring 2016 NikeLab x Undercover Gyakuson collection offers silhouettes designed for both men and women, and will be available on March 10 on the NikeLab site and select NikeLab retailers.
