Reese Witherspoon Will Be a Key Speaker at a Women's Empowerment Conference

This actress has been a long-standing advocate for pay equality in Hollywood.

Most know Reese Witherspoon for her prolific acting career that has spanned 25 years, but she is also the founder of lifestyle clothing brand Draper James and has been a vocal advocate for pay equality in Hollywood. She is undoubtedly one of the entertainment industry’s most empowering female voices at the moment so it is perhaps unsurprising that she has been asked to be a key speaker at The Simpatico Conference this July in Australia. Touring through Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, the event brings together a roster of impactful female leaders who will be promoting women’s empowerment and related insights to attendees.

“Reese Witherspoon embodies the philosophy of The Simpatico Conference,” said Simpatico managing director Jacqueline Nagle in a statement released over the weekend. “She is talented, intelligent, passionate, diverse and committed to making a difference.” Providing a teaser of the types of topics she will be tackling at the event, Witherspoon left this thought-provoking comment on the organization’s website: “What would happen if we were all brave enough to be a little more ambitious? I think the world will change.” You can find out more on the Simpatico Conference website here.
