You Can Now Rent a Wardrobe With This New Clothing Subscription

A revolutionary service from Rent the Runway.

The latest subscription service to launch is not another iteration of online streaming or music. Seeking to revolutionize the way women get dressed, Rent the Runway presents what they’re calling a subscription to fashion with its new Unlimited program. RTR has operated as a retailer for renting special-occasion dresses and accessories, but with Unlimited, customers can select three different garments to keep for as long as they want until they decide to swap for something else, for a monthly fee of $139. The service has been in beta for about a year with reportedly 40,000 people on the waitlist to join. Now anyone can have access to thousands of designer pieces via the site or mobile app. “We want you to invest in your basics and [use Unlimited] every time you want to try something new,” comments CEO and co-founder Jennifer Hyman. “Try a new trend; it’s a new season so you feel like you want a fresh look.”
