Self Service interviewed Virgil Abloh on the eve of OFF-WHITE’s 2016 fall/winter presentation. Musing on an existential Abloh-philosophy, the designer reflects — “the brand OFF-WHITE exists as a case study within myself.” He then comments, ”within society you need someone to get up and do something that is subjective to other people’s opinion…adding to the cultural wave…making moments.” The buzz of preparations and an ever-loyal posse behind, Abloh certainly seems to be doing just that.
