Anthony Vaccarello Confirmed Creative Director of Saint Laurent

Successor to Hedi Slimane.

After reporting about Anthony Vaccarello‘s departure from Versus Versace, Yves Saint Laurent just confirmed its heir-apparent. The brand and its parent company Kering confirmed the Belgian-born successor to Hedi Slimane in this statement from CEO François-Henri Pinault: “Together with the entire Yves Saint Laurent team, Anthony Vaccarello will strongly contribute to the maison’s growing accomplishments.” Vaccarello will present his debut collection for the 2017 spring/summer season.

“Mr Saint Laurent is a legendary figure for his creativity, style and audacity,” said Vaccarello of his appointment. “I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the history of this extraordinary house.” Indeed. Slimane and predecessors all left behind iconic signature dents — we’re left to anticipate Vaccarello’s offerings.
