Men Read Horribly Mean Tweets Directed at Female Sports Reporter to Their Faces

“We wouldn’t say it to their faces, so let’s not type it.”

Be it in any career setting, women are often the targets of harassment – especially when she works in a male-dominated industry. In this video segment, Just Not Sports brings light to this social issue by having a group of men read horrific tweets directed at female sport journalist Sarah Spain and Julie DiCaro to their faces. It started with some lighthearted criticism, but later it escalated so badly that the men struggled to say it out loud. Some of the more SFW comments we can post here include “I hope your boyfriend beats you,” and “You need to hit in the head with a hockey puck and killed.”And these are just the tip of the iceberg of what female in sports go through everyday.

Just Not Sports commented that the #MoreThanMean campaign tied to this video is meant to “raise awareness about online harassment of women sports reporters.” Watch the video above and let us know what you think about the campaign in the comment section below.
