Gucci to Combine Men's and Women's Shows

Radical change just announced in Versailles behind the likes of Burberry and Vetements.

On April 4 during The New York Times International Luxury conference in Versailles, Gucci CEO Marco Bizzarri announced the end of gender separation for its collections — menswear and womenswear will be combined into one runway-collective. He commented, “Maintaining two separate, disconnected calendars has been a result of tradition rather than practicality.” Calendars will be changed up with the menswear market to be held in January and July, and womenswear in September/October and February/March. The 2017 spring/summer season will be one of radical change.
