Instagram Is About To Undergo Another Huge Update
The design’s going from blue, to black and white.
Instagram looks to be on a roll with the updates lately, with the last couple months seeing improved features like capabilities to have more than one account on a device and to record lengthier, 60-second videos. This time, the photo-sharing app’s next upgrade is all about the aesthetics as a black and white redesign has been rolled out to a small number of its users. Saying bye to its blue interface, Instagram is attempting to modernize with the black and white look, added white space throughout and all new, minimalistic icons. The photos themselves, of course, will remain untouched.
“We often test new experiences with a small percentage of the global community,” says an Instagram spokesperson. “This is a design test only.” See more screenshots of the new look over at The Verge.
