MESHIT Heads to the Sea for Its 2016 Fall/Winter Lookbook
The Austrian label uses a lush palette for its latest collection of clean silhouettes and playful details.
Founded back in 2010 by Ida Steixner and Lena Krampf, Austrian label MESHIT refers to the ”meshing” and blending of various aesthetic codes and cultural references in order to create a single, cohesive collection. Inspired by a dynamic range of influences that include everything from youth culture to social movements, the resulting pieces are constructed with clean lines, unique design elements and playful details. In fact, all prints and patterns are designed in-house, showcased on organic fabrics such as wool, cotton, linen and bamboo.
For its latest 2016 fall/winter program, MESHIT takes cues from seafaring and more specifically, the traditional garbs of fishermen, seamen and sailors. Highlighting a range of lush tones such as emerald green, beige, navy and camel, the color palette perfectly complements a whimsical set of prints.
