Although Ciara has been consistently releasing new albums since 2004 saw her debut with Goodies, the past few years saw the singer become lovingly embraced by the fashion industry. Now, news comes that the Grammy-winning artist has officially signed a modeling contract with IMG Models. Sister agency WME has and will continue to represent the entertainment portion of her career as IMG will oversee all of her beauty, fashion and modeling deals, reports WWD. A smart move considering her success as a magazine cover star and role as being the face of Roberto Cavalli, Coach and Topshop in the past, along with being one of Riccardo Tisci’s personal muses. She’s in good company — Gisele Bündchen, Karlie Kloss, Gigi Hadid and Hailey Baldwin are among the names on IMG’s roster.
“I’m super thrilled about partnering with IMG Models,” said Ciara. “I have always had a strong love for fashion, and I’m grateful to be surrounded by so many great friends that are the best at what they do in this industry. This partnership will give me an opportunity to grow and experiment as an artist. I truly look forward to all the amazing things we have planned ahead.”
