Everlane Unveils an Interactive Pop-Up Shoe Park in NYC's SoHo District
A pastel paradise that encourages you to take off your shoes and explore the installations.
Online clothing retailer Everlane will be launching a 10-day interactive Shoe Park in NYC’s SoHo district. Designed by Robert Storey of StoreyStudio, the pop-up shopping concept is a self-guided experience that allows customers to direct their own shopping journeys and to experience the shop as they would like. Upon first entering the store, each visitor is asked to leave his or her shoes at the door. From there, the space becomes a personal playground that encourages each individual to walk, sit and climb through all of the unique, interactive installations. Because visitors will be barefoot, Storey has used cork flooring so that the experience is entirely comfortable.
Utilizing a range of materials that includes plywood, custom peg boards and mirrored aluminum, six distinct shoe structures are constructed in order to showcase the six different shoe styles on display. At the center of the shop, there is also a one-of-a-kind exhibition of the brand’s new Dipped Bag Collection. Bespoke geometric wooden pegs are attached to the wall, allowing the bags to hang freely and for customers to use as weights to test the bags’ capabilities. Although the space is designed to be functional in its interactive experience, it is also impeccably tasteful. Using a palette of soft yellows, blues and white, the playful environment is unlike any other you will experience. The Everlane Shoe Park will run from May 13-22.
