KENZO Pre-Fall 2016 Lookbook Honors Female Empowerment
Layering and oversized proportions reign.
KENZO‘s Carol Lim and Humberto Leon present their latest lookbook, inspiration from female empowerment evident. Asian influence in the pre-fall 2016 collection is present as always as designs are rendered in Japanese-style florals and graphics, with pieces baring katakana and “Tanami” flower motifs. Mirroring women’s strength and beauty, proportion and structure dominate — long skirts and jeans covered with tunic tops and lurex piqué found beneath oversized down coats. Pinks, reds, oranges and yellows contrast with blues and blacks the same way light mixed-fabric knitwear does with the technique of layering and stoic positioning of the models themselves, which can be viewed above.
