Nisolo 2016 Spring/Summer "Bone" Lookbook Starring LC Gunn
The ethical fashion label incorporates nightcrawler vibes into its latest range of spring-ready footwear and jewelry.
Nashville-based ethical fashion label Nisolo has teamed up with hometown musical talent LC Gunn for a stunning lookbook filled with nightcrawler vibes, shot by photographer Zachary Gray. As part of the brand’s ongoing artist series, the pieces in the program are meant to reflect the personalities of the featured creatives. “I love how simple and clean the designs are, I really appreciate that in a shoe,” said Gunn. “The story behind [Nisolo] also pulled at my heartstrings, I’ve got a thing for stories and businesses that reflect the good in humanity. We need them.”
Nisolo was first launched in 2011 after co-founder and CEO Patrick Woodyard met shoemakers in Trujillo, Peru who were facing barriers to growth in the developing world. Committed to ethical production and the welfare of its producers, the company was then built on a foundation deeply rooted in socially responsible practices. Integrating a truly inspiring culture into its minimalistic designs, the lookbook showcases a variety of shoe styles that bring together both the design and ethical passions of the brand: the Serena Sandals in Noir, the Austin in Smoke and the newly launched Austin in Bone. Gunn is also wearing a selection of brass and bone pieces from Nisolo’s first jewelry line, which is made in Kenya from upcycled brass and bone products. You can shop both the footwear and jewelry collection now at nisolo.com.
