Nothing Channels the 'Sukeban' Girl in Its 2016 Summer "Vol.3" Collection
This is Japanese ‘Girl Boss’ reimagined.
Constantly inspired by Japanese culture, Sydney-based streetwear label Nothing explores the concept of a Sukeban girl (translated as ‘Boss Girl’) in its latest Summer 2016 collection. Referring to the leader of an all-girl high school gang, the brand’s signature ‘Squat Club’ T-shirt is updated with a different kind of girl. New to this program, the ‘Sukeban Girl’ graphic is featured on pullovers and hoodies. The new series also sees other key pieces with the ‘Come Sin with Us’ graphic, which gives a nod to the underground Japanese karaoke bars of the 80’s. Infusing colors to its usual monochromatic palette, Nothing’s latest collection is its most refreshing one to date. Check out the full range in the gallery above, which is also available now on Nothing’s website.
