Rihanna's Navy Crashed Manolo Blahnik's Site
It’s another demonstration of her massive influence.
A collaboration with Rihanna can never go wrong, look to how she boosted PUMA’s sales in quarter one alone. For further proof, Manolo Blahnik has reported that the brand’s site crashed several times following the launch of the singer’s “Denim Desserts” collection. The limited-edition line includes four different silhouettes of all-denim heels with price tags ranging between $895 USD and $3,995 USD. Only 400 pairs were stocked within Manolo Blahnik boutiques in New York, London and Hong Kong, with an undisclosed amount being offered online. Kristina Blahnik told WWD the collaboration was not consumer-driven, just a for-fun “pop project” rather, but this just goes to show how influential the singer — and subsequently her Navy — really is.
