Streetsnaps: Australia Fashion Week 2016
Take a look at our favorite styles from down under.
Taking place last week at its annual location Carriageworks in Redfern, Sydney, Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia presented a spectacular sh0wcase of collections from both seasoned and burgeoning designers from Australia and the Asia Pacific. Notable models such as Bella Hadid (who opened for the Misha show) made their debuts at Australia Fashion Week this year, which set the mood for a truly memorable week celebrating the best of today’s contemporary fashion creatives. Adjusting to the transitional weather, street styles featured a preference for thin outwear and graphic appliques on the backs of jackets. Once again highlighting the effortlessly chic combination of high and low-brow aesthetics, standouts from our streetsnaps include designs from the past collections of Gosha Rubchinskiy, COMME des GARÇONS, Vetements, Palace and more, which were incorporated into a mix of retro and casual looks.
