The New Originals' Trippy Editorial Utilizes a Vintage 3D Nimslo Camera
Showcasing the Secundi collection in GIFs.
The New Originals presents its latest Secundi collection with a dynamic editorial courtesy of Thijs Rebel. The photographer forgoes the standardized modern approach, instead using a Nimslo 3D camera from the 80s that was the first of its kind. The camera has four lenses and each one produces a half-frame photo, so Rebel shot Jip Beers and Mees Groot from slightly different angles before scanning the pictures and arranging them in Photoshop to create looping images — a tedious project. The result is a GIF-form lookbook showcasing the models outfitted in fleece sweats bearing the nine-dot graphic seen throughout the collection, which is available now.
