Although the standard schedule of spring/summer deliveries had fans anticipating a summer release of YEEZY Season 2, it has recently been announced that the new range will not be dropping in a conventional sense. In an email sent out by the brand’s new president, Pete Fox, he informs retailers that the Season 2 apparel lineup, “will not be produced in its entirety or launched following a traditional fashion calendar.” In line with YEEZY’s commitment to move towards a season-less model, the adidas affiliate label will be releasing certain pieces from the collection throughout the year. It should be noted, however, that Season 3 will not be affected by this change. The revision in the release is apparently related to efforts regarding improved production of deliveries with better quality for the best price points.
On the footwear side of things, stockists have been told to expect a global release on June 6, so sneaker fans need not panic just yet. What do you think about YEEZY’s new season-less model? Let us know in the comments below.
