Apple Launches 'Swift Playgrounds' App to Make Learning to Code Easy and Fun
Anybody can learn to code, but now you’ll want to.
In an effort to change the public’s perception that learning to code is a tedious and boring process, Apple has launched a new campaign called “New Beginnings.” Introducing a new coding language called Swift, the tech giant endeavors to help people all over the world to learn code without the need to go through years of training. Proponents in the video illustrate how learning to code through Swift has helped them achieve the impossible, improve their quality of work in the work place, and even create their own apps. Kiera (the girl who received a letter of commendation for her skills from President Barack Obama) muses in the film, “Someone who doesn’t even know code at all, if they even studied some simple Swift code they would probably be able to understand it.”
At its recent WWDC, Apple announced a new iPad app called Swift Playgrounds. It provides an easier and more interactive platform for users to learn coding. Users will have to solve puzzles and carrying out actions using real codes. In addition, if you think you have a great idea for an app, the “App Development with Swift” guide in the app will help you build it from scratch. With Swift Playgrounds, Apple hopes that the iOS programming language will be the beginning to encourage a new generation of App Store developers. Take your first step in coding and download Swift Playgrounds on the App Store.
