Atea Oceanie Unveils Its First Collaborative Capsule Collection With Man Repeller
When minimalist design meets maximalist style.
Atea Oceanie may be a young, budding brand in London but its combination of minimalism and modern athletic designs has fast become a favourite amongst celebrities like Kristen Stewart and Elizabeth Olsen. Even so, the label’s designer Laura Myers has not let her brand’s rapid growth get to her head, and instead continuing to approach her collections with a relaxed and cautious pace. Her latest collaboration was inspired by how Leandra Medine (site director of Man Repeller known for her maximalist dressing) wore her designs dynamically, and thus giving her a new perspective to her work. Moreover, the designer wanted to tap into Man Repeller’s marketing network to push her label, adding that “[Medine] wearing the collection really resonated with her audience, and sort of exposed us to a new audience that we weren’t being exposed [to] through our own social media platforms or our own retail partners, and it just seemed like a very natural but easy mix.”
The seven-piece capsule features a lamé suit, denim skirt, striped cady dress, mandarin collared shirts and a turtleneck sweater. The full range will only be available on Boutique 1, while Atea Oceanie’s own site will feature a selected range. View the full collection and the impeccable styling in the gallery above.
