Balmain's 2017 Resort Collection Shows Us the #BALMAINARMY Vacation
Sail into Olivier Rousteing’s paradise island.
For Resort 2017, Olivier Rousteing took Balmain’s luxed-up aesthetics to paradise. To coincide with the collection’s release, Rousteing announced, “I obviously can’t say all the details, but I can say that we are going to expand Balmain to the world. It’s something I’m really happy for and I can’t wait.”
He debut multihued crochet gowns and a body-con number with color-blocked macramé. ’70s glam and ’90s notes oozed throughout – there were flared crotchet pants, dramatic ponchos and Balmain-ized denim ensembles. Ordinary beachwear knows no meaning on this tropical island.
