From the fashion-centric visuals in LEMONADE, to the launch of her activewear label IVY PARK, it is unsurprising that Queen Bey has been named the winner of the Fashion Icon award at the CFDA Fashion Awards 2016. Wearing a stunning Givenchy suit and wide-brimmed black hat, Beyoncé received the award from CFDA Chairman Diane von Furstenberg, who commended the singer’s fashion influence. Considered the Oscars of the fashion industry, the event took place at Manhattan’s Hammerstein Ballroom on Monday night. Gathering notable names in the fashion industry, the ceremonial night honored winners in different categories that have helped shape today’s fashion landscape.
