Brie Larson May Play Captain Marvel In New Movie
A super move for the Oscar award-winning actress.
Brie Larson is set to have another major year following news that she’s in talks to star in a new movie as one of Marvel’s most popular female superheroes. Variety reports the actress, who won the Oscar for best actress for 2015’s Room, is a frontrunner to play Captain Marvel — an air force pilot named Carol Danvers who gets superpower strength, flight and energy projection after her DNA is tainted with that of an alien in an accident –in a standalone film. Although the project does not have a director at this time, Kevin Feige is set to produce the script currently being written by Nicole Perlman and Meg LeFauve of Disney Pixar’s Inside Out.
First, Larson is set to appear in other big-budget films such as Kong: Skull Island, The Glass Castle and Free Fire.
