Hari Nef Is the Face of Mansur Gavriel's Latest Campaign
The model-actress-activist is the first high-profile figure to ever represent the brand.
New York-based label Mansur Gavriel is known for its minimalist aesthetic and clean designs. Reflecting this ethos, the brand’s advertising has always featured simple concepts that highlight either faceless models or sparsely furnished environments. Although the label will continue with this creative strategy, Mansur Gavriel has just tapped IMG signee Hari Nef for its latest campaign, the brand’s first high-profile model. Known for her powerful voice as an activist within the trans community, she has taken on the fashion world by storm having walked for the likes of Gucci, Hood By Air and H&M. Also making her television debut on the second season of the ground-breaking series “Transparent,” Nef is undoubtedly a star on the meteoric rise.
Shot by photography duo Tanya and Zhenya Posternak, who also happen to be twin sisters, the new campaign features Mansur Gavriel’s mini bucket bag and the new Sun bag that made its debut at its Fall 2016 presentation at New York Fashion Week. “We think Hari is very beautiful, and were excited to shoot her,” said the designers about the new campaign. “She is real and has great energy.” You can see a preview of the campaign above, which will go live around New York City around mid-June.
