According to 9 to 5 Mac, it seems that Apple is finally abolishing the 16GB model for its iPhone franchise in favor of an upgraded 32GB base storage for the new iPhone 7. The news comes from an IHS Technology analyst, who has an immensely reliable track record of accuracy when it comes to Apple rumors. The tech giant first introduced the 16GB model back in 2008 and has since stuck with the option. Despite numerous reviews that the storage gets filled up very quickly, Apple has never made a move to upgrade the base model. If the rumor is true it will mean that going forward, the 32GB will be the new base model. For now, we can only sit tight and await more confirmative updates from Apple itself.
