Kanye West Will Headline a New Festival Made Just For Him
Governors Ball organizers are sorry for that rained-out performance.
After a rained-out Governors Ball performance, its creators are giving you another chance to see Kanye West live — you can say it was made just for him. Mr. West and The Weeknd will headline the inaugural The Meadows Music and Arts Festival on October 1-2 in New York’s Citi Field complex.
The mayor’s administration approved the event — remember how Mayor Bill de Blasio tweeted to West “great block parties are planned” after those impromptu concerts? Chance the Rapper, Grimes, Pusha T, Bryson Tiller and Post Malone are among the artists to perform alongside ‘Ye during the two-day event. Tickets go on-sale June 23 and Gov Ball attendees who missed out will be granted access to a special pre-sale on June 22.
