South Korean Longboarding Sensation Ko Hyojoo Is Turning Heads
’70s-era SoCal style combined with seamless footwork.
Having begun longboarding just two years ago, Ko Hyojoo is already making a name for herself in the skating scene in South Korea. Although she has not skated for long, Ko’s fluid moves on her board make it look like she has been doing it for years. Moves like the “nollie-shuvit” and “nose-manual” no longer challenge her as she executes them gracefully. What makes her stand out is also her unique fashion style that seems to recall ’70s SoCal swag. Dressed in shorts, miniskirts, oversized shirts with knee-length varsity socks, Ko “dances” through the streets of South Korea on her board. Check out Ko’s skills in the video above and head over to her Instagram for more videos and style inspiration.
