Moschino's 2017 Resort Collection is a Vibrant Love Letter to LA
A vibrantly trippy collection that pays tribute to 60’s-era LA.
Jeremy Scott does it again with a colorful and cheeky show in LA on Friday night, combining Moschino’s 2017 men’s spring and women’s resort collections. According to WWD, the show was “both a love letter to his adopted hometown and a boon for the city that has been winning on nearly every front of late except the runway scene.” Filled with a mish-mash of 60’s references, the over-the-top kitsch collection features a loud combination of prints, colors and textures.
Models strutted down the runway to 60’s beats in crocheted crop tops, mirror-embroidered pants, bra tops and oversize mod pageboy caps, as well as a series of patchwork and sequins and studded leathers, and swingy pantsuits decorated with psychedelic daisies. The men’s collection was equally flamboyant, sporting blazing briefs, moto jackets in neon color blocks, tie-dyed pieces and kaleidoscope-like printed pants.
