Zayn’s solo debut “PILLOWTALK” marked a more mature chapter of his career, one that bid adieu to his One Direction boy band-days. The sensual track was just what an older audience needed to get behind his music — but this version courtesy of Tyler, the Creator takes it to an all-new level.

Tyler recorded his own remix of the song and is just now releasing it, his guitar chords placed on top of the track mixed with an upbeat rhythm and other synths and sounds signature to the rapper’s musical aesthetic and paired with a few choice dance moves. Apparently there had been plans for the two to work together, but Tyler claims Zayn “flaked on studio sessions twice.” At least we have this — a listen into what could have been.
