There Are Only 50 Pieces Made of Vetements' New 'Zemfira' Hoodie
A celebration of a revolutionary Russian rockstar.
Vetements may have made its 2016 fall/winter collection much more accessible by stocking the range at Dover Street Market London, but it still has to uphold its reputation of being “extremely exclusive.” Hence, its latest release is practically impossible to find. A hoodie inspired by one of designer Demna Gvasalia’s favourite musicians, only 50 pieces were made in the world. Constructed in Vetements’ signature oversized silhouette, the classic black hoodie sports “Zemfira” written in red Cyrillic alphabet. Zemfira is a revolutionary Russian rockstar who Gvasalia idolized since he was a teenager. In a recent press release, Gvasalia said, “Zemfira influenced not the way I dressed, but the way I saw poetry in everything, she influenced the sentiment.”
On top of its rarity, the Zemfira hoodie are exclusively available through SV Moscow. Be prepared to fork out a hefty shipping fee out of Russia in addition to the standard Vetements price tag if you do consider getting it. Preview the Zemfira hoodie in the gallery above.
