Cara Delevingne Is Awesomely Creepy as Enchantress in This 'Suicide Squad' Clip
The model-slash-actress is barely recognizable in her latest role.
With the Suicide Squad craze reaching an all time high, we finally get our first look at an actual scene from the forthcoming DC Comics blockbuster. In the brief 36-second clip, Cara Delevingne is seen in character as the spine-chillingly creepy Enchantress. The scene starts off with a demure-looking June Moone slightly keeled over, before The Enchantress takes over with what seems to be body-morphing powers. As a terrifying black hand grips Moone from below, a smoky veil wraps around her figure as she now takes on a demonic persona.
Complete with shifty eyes and straggly hair that add to the character’s nightmarishly haggard facade, a conference room filled with terrified onlookers recoil at the unexpected transformation. Although it is unclear exactly why Enchantress is in a military briefing room with Viola Davis’ formidable Amanda Waller, the atmosphere seems to be tense and full of foreboding. As Waller assures those present in the room that “this girl can do some pretty incredible things,” the head of the Suicide Squad closes off the scene with some badass word of encouragement: “Go get it, girl.”
Suicide Squad is slated to hit theaters on August 5. To learn more about each member of the motley crew of “villains,” you can watch the latest trailer here.
